With the repeat button on for weeks on his latest album The Next Day, I’ve been collecting material to honor the great David Bowie on this entry. This week is dedicated to him, for his innovation and brilliance in the artistic, musical and fashion fields, for being so transgressive as ever at age 67, and strictly comply with what he once said “Be yourself, and besides, you can be whatever you want. “
I’m a faithful follower of Tim Burton’s films, and would be my favorite movie director if not because the movies he lately made are pretty bad. Shame! Anyway, the aesthetics and atmosphere created in his films remains unique, from the costumes and props to the stills and Danny Elfman’s brilliant music, not to mention the background and meaning of the stories.
